Controversial street-hop singer Portable is calling out Burna Boy once again—this time, for giving him a generous cash gift but allegedly ignoring him afterward.
In a video currently making waves online, Portable expressed his frustration, revealing that despite receiving a whopping ₦20 million from the Grammy-winning artist after his victory over Speed Darlington in a celebrity boxing match, Burna Boy has been completely unreachable.
“Burna Boy gave me 20 million naira, but he won’t reply to my DMs on Instagram, pick up my calls, or even link me,” Portable lamented. “I don’t even have his number. The 20M will finish — what I really need from him is a verse.”
“A Verse Will Change My Life”
For Portable, the money is appreciated—but what he truly craves is a music collaboration, which he believes could skyrocket his career more than any cash gift ever could.
“Why are you so stingy with your replies?” he added in his signature animated style.
This isn’t the first time Portable has publicly pleaded for a Burna Boy feature. Back in 2022, he accused the ‘Last Last’ crooner of copying his style and mannerisms, calling for a collaboration instead of what he referred to as “using him for promotion.”
A Love-Hate Relationship with Burna Boy
Despite their rocky history, Portable has consistently expressed admiration for Burna Boy. Earlier this year, when Burna extended help to Cubana Chief Priest’s baby mama and brother, Portable praised him on Instagram, declaring him “bigger than all his colleagues” and hailing his generosity.
However, his tone has shifted again, with the artist now feeling snubbed and sidelined after the cash gift—believing he’s being treated like a charity case rather than a potential music collaborator.
Portable’s Unfiltered Commentary Continues
Portable also previously used Burna Boy’s rumored involvement with Diddy during the latter’s legal troubles as inspiration for new music. In a song, he warned fans to be cautious about attending certain parties and addressed celebrity behaviors in his raw, unfiltered fashion.
Whether or not Burna Boy responds this time remains to be seen—but one thing is clear: Portable is not backing down from his quest for a verse that, according to him, could change his entire life.
